Had the genuine privilege of meeting the great man today. Had a brief chat about all things BHA and he does indeed keep a sharp eye on our progress and results. Gave up plenty of his valuable time for a chat with everyone and I for one would love to see him involved with our youngsters as he is retiring from Arsenal at the end of the season. I put the question to him but alas, he said there's not a chance of it happening. He has recently had a hip replaced and needs to enjoy his retirement by resting up.
I was at Arsenals academy ground for our u18s friendly with them today. We lost 5-2 but put up a terrific show until late in the game where they scored a couple of late goals. Definitely a couple of gems for the future playing for our academy sides and that can only improve once our academy opens next year.
