Price had the makings of a very good keeper at one stage, Lee Camp's excellent form has proved an obstacle to him though I think.

Would be a good back up and at 25, still with room to develop...

So you'd have us turn down a perfectly good keeper on the basis that he took offence at being abused by a bunch of our followers?

Yep, great logic.

A perfectly good keeper ? a perfectly good keeper wouldn't of been sent on loan to a team who were bottom of league two (Luton)

I don't think being called a rapist is good banter though.

Or being spat at. There was nothing good about any of the banter he received.

You must have really good eye sight to notice that people were spitting at him . It was banter to start off with but a few took it to far and he responded but i still won't forgive him for denying us a trip to wembley !

And yet later in this thread you point out that he denied us a place in the final, thus suggesting that he's not that shit after all.

Keepers are in a very different position to outfield players in that they're competing for one position, and they aren't going to get many chances to play. It's not like you can bring one on to change a game or have a quick runaround. So you often get perfectly decent keepers on the bench. Someone like Jason Brown used to be excellent at Gillingham but can't get a game at Blackburn. Doesn't mean he's suddenly crap.

Frankly I have no idea how well Price is playing or if he's still the keeper he was a few years back, but suggesting we shouldn't sign someone on the basis that he annoyed a few of our finest simply by dishing out a bit back when they were giving him stick for 90 minutes, well that's just ridiculous.
