We knew the kitty was pretty bare BUT LOW GATES AND NO CASHFLOW WILL THEY LAST OUT THE SEASON ??
here's Kevin Keehan in today's Argus:

"I hate making excuses about the budget but Rushden probably have five times the size of our budget and that is difficult . . .

"We have players playing for NOTHING and players playing for £50, they have got players on £1200 a week . . .

"At the end of the day the buck stops with me and it is a budget I agreed to so I don't have any complaints about that. But I have got to look at the team and think whether there are players who are perhaps not quite as good as I thought they were and look at it again and see what we can do.":bigwave::bigwave:

Danny Cullip is alleged to be on £1500 per week.
What a well run club. Maybe they pay him in Lewes pounds.

What a brainless fucker KK is. The buck in no way stops with him. He's the fall guy. The board knew damn well no FOOTBALL manager would touch the job with the proverbial bargepole - so they hired a COMMERCIAL manager instead. And a none too bright one at that. Hence him accepting the job. The board's hidden agenda (tho not very well hidden at all) is to embrace relegation, cast KK as the scapegoat, then quietly get on with the Active Lewes project that provides the trojan horse for 'luxury' apartments on the Dripping Pan in the longer term, while Lewes groundshare at Falmer. Time for regime change at Lewes methinks. And I don't mean at manager level.
