I have read in various places from opposition fans that last night signals Brighton's trademark end of season collapse.
Ignoring the year that Hughton was trying to squeeze a goal out of a broken Macca and Leon Best, our previous seasons in the championship have ended like this:
Year After 34 games After 46
2015/16 63 89
2013/14 53 72
2012/13 55 75
2011/12 54 66
That's an average over the four years of 1.64 points per game from the last 12. That would give us about 20 more points from the last 12 games, 91 points.
Equaling last season's 'collapse' would give us 96 points.
If that is the sort of collapse the opposition want us to do, I say let's get on with it.
