Have recently been watching "Police Squad" on DVD - so much silliness in it from guest stars who never make it alive beyond the opening credits to the daft visual gags like "Police dauqS" on the office door. Started out as a straight actor but surely best remembered for all the Airplane type films he made - and don't call him Shirley!

Legend, absolute legend. My favourite opening to a Police Squad was when some bad guy's been riddled with bullets and while reeling from the fatal shots he stubs his toe on something and is hopping around holding his foot going "Ow, ow."
