Lee Evans makes me deficate myself with laughter. The bloke is a stand-up comedy GENIUS (but he should definately stick to stand-up, cos his film and sitcom stuff has been GASH).

Lee Evans is excellent, I've never seen a guy sweat so much on stage.

Naah, I must admit I don't like his songs much (although the bit where the piano is rolling all over the stage and almost off into the audience is excellent). His stand-up routine is class though - always worth watching out for on the Paramount Comedy channel. Tried to get tickets for his show at the Brighton Centre, but they sold out in about 6 minutes.

I cannot recall ever seeing a less funny yet successful comedian. If I want to watch a Norman Wisdom "fall over, honk with laughter for ten minutes whilst wearing a flat cap sideways" routine, I'll watch Norman Wisdom doing it. Except I won't, because he was utter crap too.

One look at the "names" offered up in Blackpool over the summer shows that northerners are not exactly too discerning when it comes to comedy.

He seems to split the audience. I have sat through an entire performance of his on television and didn't laugh once.

However I have also met his "number one" fan, who thinks he's a comedy God.

Flapping your arms around a lot and making ugly faces doesn't really do it for me.

You can't knock it though, Iain Dowie's made a career out of it.

Hmmmm... interesting. I usually rate comedians on how funny they are.

PS You'll love world championship darts.

I really wish I'd spent £20 quid to watch him with...oh the japery!...wearing TROUSERS which are a bit too short for him with a gormless look on his face - before *titter* he falls over again/gets "pretend" smacked in the mouth while someone hits a snare drum etc etc etc.

The visual/slapstick stuff is only a small part of his act, its not all just "pratfalls". He does some first class observational humour, and that (for me) is where he's at his best.

Each to their own I suppose. One of my mates thinks Bernard Manning is a comedy genius, whereas I find him about as funny as a brain tumour.

It is also the dumbarse facial expression that gets me everytime.

His observational humour is almost on a par with Peter Kay.
