I’ve just watched the RDZ interview. What a refreshing change for a manager in any business to be so straight talking. Trossard will know exactly where he stands. RDZ is a very impressive guy.
I don’t think he is as good as he thinks he is. Certainly an important part of our squad but for every Liverpool away there are quite a few games where he is completely anonymous. Top 6 clubs may disagree and if so they will as per usual have to pay Tony’s price or he can warm the bench as an over age player in the under 23s if he likes.
Alternatively, perhaps the club have outgrown Trossard.Trossard is one of the best players that’s ever played for this club. Unfortunately he’s a representation of what we now stand for, a feeder club for the big boys once a player has outgrown us.
I have no idea what you’re talking about Harry, but then again Donnie Darko was never really my scene. You are repling to and adding to post of false equivalence. Of course Bloom doesn't sit back and just rubber stamp other people's decisions. Do you really think he doesn't use the Starlizard data base to look, himself, and players? That doesn't mean he does everything. And anyone else making decision is doing so by proxy, on his behalf.
As for the post to which you reply, and the extent to which Tony is in charge, and the 'how come he lost his manager and team if he knows what he's doing?' (I paraphrase @Clive Walker ), that's the false equivalence. If a freak ice block drops off a DC10 wing and smashed through the roof of my house this doesn't prove that I am not the mastermind behind the success of my household.
Or, the manager has just managed to publicly piss off and fall out with our top scorer and one of our biggest assets. Who was probably going to be sold this month or the summer anyway.Alternatively, perhaps the club have outgrown Trossard.
He’s our top scorer !Alternatively, perhaps the club have outgrown Trossard.
Yes he's one of the best players that's played for us. We have always been a feeder club for the big boys and always will be, just like Ajax.Trossard is one of the best players that’s ever played for this club. Unfortunately he’s a representation of what we now stand for, a feeder club for the big boys once a player has outgrown us.
He's also currently our top dickhead. He’s our top scorer !
The big factor is wages, we are still pretty low payers so it is easy to lure away our star players.
But I’m sure this will slowly increase if we can consistently finish top half
I think people are backing the club against player power. It’s an important principle in building a strong squad mentality. RDZ is simply the one articulating it. The alternative is there for all to see at Chelsea. Well done the club.Or, the manager has just managed to publicly piss off and fall out with our top scorer and one of our biggest assets. Who was probably going to be sold this month or the summer anyway.
I understand the inclination to back the manager, particular after Trossard’s petty statement, but we don’t really know what’s happened and what’s been said/agreed behind closed doors.
Yep, a tried and tested method that isn’t in the training manualI do wonder if RdZ hasn't quite engineered the situation, but has rather exploited it for his own gain.
Sure it's a bit old skool, you'd have thought probably too old skool, but it does rather nod to:-
- last teacher caring and thoughtful.
- new teacher wants to make his mark and crucially distance himself from before.
- kerfuffle insues.
- opportunity arises.
- hammer crushes nut.
- rest of the class on bestest behaviour.
Ghengis over Gandhi.
………but completely out of form since the WC and totally deserved to be dropped. If he can’t deal with that by getting his head straight and knuckling down the there’s no place for him. He’s our top scorer !

Which is fair, but I don’t think it’s accurate to say we’ve outgrown him necessarily………but completely out of form since the WC and totally deserved to be dropped. If he can’t deal with that by getting his head straight and knuckling down the there’s no place for him.
Yes I agree that all makes sense. I looked at what odds the bookies were giving and for some reason they were shorter on Spurs than anybody else. Mr Z is generally passionate in his player support so yes Trossard has much to do if he wants some sort of happy ending to this.I'm not so sure about Spurs. Is he going to oust Son, Richarlison, Kane, Kulusevski? He's miles behind them. With the guy they bought off Fulham he'll be comfortably 4th or 5 choice. Also a slightly mardy 28 doesn't really seem like their profile. You'd imagine given the way this is how he's chosen to exit that unforgiving taskmasters like Conte or Simeone would be the last sort of managers who'd want him.
I can see Newcastle throwing money at him. But if he doesn't like the weather in Brighton....
