League Cup - rules and draw

It's about time I started thinking about the league cup. The number of teams works out quite nicely so the rules are as follows :-

All games up to semi final are one leg only. Extra time and penalties will be used to decide drawn games.

The bottom 8 teams in League 1 as of now will be drawn in a preliminary round. The remaining 60 teams will join at the first round stage.

As a little extra rule, money will be given to lower division teams for reaching later rounds as follows :-

League 1 teams

£20000 for reaching Round 3
£30000 for reaching Quarter Final
£50000 for reaching Semi Final
£100000 for reaching final

So a League 1 team reaching the final would make £200000.

Championship Teams

£100000 for reaching Quarter Final
£300000 for reaching Semi Final
£500000 for reaching Final

so a Championship Team making the final would make £900000.

The 8 teams in the preliminary round are :-

Peterborough
Doncaster
Colchester
Chesterfield
Torquay
Blackpool
Milton Keynes
Wrexham

Full draw to follow.
