what benefit does this cup give us? even if we were to win it how much is lost on games en route? is it worth it and for what i mean who the **** cares whos the raining champions who wind this year next or whether the thing just disapears? Do teams have to enter? Do you win dosh like in the FA Cup as you pass each round or are we just mugs entering this worthless trophy? I suggest the latter and that we withdraw forthwith. Especially after the rip off of season tick holders in rd 1 and that dismall disply, whats the point? are there any repucussions if teams withdraw refuse to enter? its a cup with no value nothing scrap it now before it drags football into the comedy circuit with low crowds and dismal displays its a farce and its wirthless scrap it now for the sake of football!

i almost agree with you on this.

but i dont. Its like the League Cup for the top two divisions - Its an annoyance for the top teams in the league, but something for a average or lower position team to have their day of glory.

I was in Bermonsey when Millwall went off to the final a few years ago (which i believe they lost to Wigan), and the place was deserted. in the days before hand there was a tangible feeling of happiness and hope around. It was just good for them. If we where to win it one season when say mid-tab;e, you'd have a different opinion of it.

Oh, and i believe you do get some money for each round, though im sure not as much as the FA Cup.

Entry into the competition guarantees the club £2,000. This increases up to £50,000 if you win it. Not a lot I know, but it also gives the club a chance to blood new talent. As long as it doesn't interfere with the league (ha ha :glare: ), I'm not bothered about it.

how about the winners get entry to the inter toto cup! then it make the compertition more intressting, least it be better than some team qualifing through fair play (really what is that all about??) least it be better to have teams that won things in the pre-qualifing rounds of the uefa cup?
