this is'nt an official NSC Cricket thread as Lord B or CHappers did'nt start it...therefore I wont say:

Chappers, that would get the result we need but it wouldn't be as satisfying as winning to win the title. Much like sitting at home listening to the radio was how we got promoted from division 2 last time.

Its forecast for rain today and tomorrow and then sun on friday and saturday, i reckon Both first innings will be declared and they will have an innings thrash each.

Why would we risk defeat. Surely a draw is better than the chance of Lancyshite gaining ground, or are they out of it now?

Lancashire need to get maximum points from there remaining matches to have any chance of beating us to the title as do Slurrey. As long as we don't lose badly in Manchester we'll win the championship.
Adams reckons he'll go for the win because he believes Sussex are the better side but i think he'll play completely for the draw.

Today
Patchy rain at first, dying away this morning. Staying mostly cloudy this afternoon, a few brighter intervals. Maximum temperature 16 deg C (61 deg F).

Tonight
Mostly cloudy, local mist/fog possible under any breaks. Further rain spreading eastwards later. Minimum temperature 10 deg C (50 deg F).

Outlook for Thursday
Early rain then drier/brighter before further rain arrives later.

Five day forecast for MANCHESTER:-

Today - low level cloud

Tomorrow - low level cloud

Friday - sunny

Saturday - sunny

Sunday - sunny intervals

A draw would be perfect, but the weather forecast suggests a winner is quite likely, particularly if play gets going today.

Four days of rain would suit me fine.
But having said that, a couple of bonus points wouldn't go a miss.
Plus, there's Prior's 1000 and Mushy's 100 to come up.
Anything else?
