[h=3]Kuszczak out, Ankergren gets the nod[/h]2:20pm Saturday 13th April 2013 in Albion By Brian Owen
Tomasz Kuszczak
Albion have shown faith in Casper Ankergen for their key Championship match today.
The Dane has been brought back in goal in place of the absent Tomasz Kuszczak.
Ankergren was hero-turned-villain when he deputised for the unwell Kuszczak in Albion’s last away game, at Nottingham Forest a fortnight ago.
The Dane produced several fine saves before letting a soft Henri Lansbury shot through his legs to gift Forest a stoppage-time equaliser.
The only outfield change to the side whch drew with Leicester seven days ago sees Andrew Crofts return for the injured Will Buckley.
Both Buckley and Kazenga LuaLua have suffered hamstring problems.
Inigo Calderon continues at right-back although Bruno is back in training after a calf injury. The former Valencia man has not travelled but could return at Peterborough on Tuesday.
The hosts have mixed news on the injury front as star centre-back Jonathan Woodgate is passed fit following concussion but striker Lukas Jutkiewicz is ruled out.
Home boss Tony Mowbray leaves wingers Sammy Ameobi and Mustapha Carayol on the bench along with playmaker Josh McEachran.
Boro are also missing left-back George Friend (hamstring) and Julio Arca (toe) while Marvin Emnes, Kieron Dyer and Emmanuel Ledesma have been struggling with knocks.
Middlesbrough: Steele; Hoyte, Woodgate, Williams, Halliday; Haroun, Smallwood, Leadbitter, Main; McDonald, Zemmama. Subs: Leutwiler, Bikey, Ameobi, McEachran, Carayol, Miller, Bailey.
Albion: Ankergren; Calderon, Greer, Upson, Bridge; Bridcutt, Crofts, Hammond; David; Orlandi, Ulloa. Subs: Brezovan, Painter, El-Abd, Dicker, Forster-Caskey, Vicente, Barker.
