LEON KNIGHT has handed in a transfer request at Brighton.

The striker, 23, feels boss Mark McGhee is making him the scapegoat for the Seagulls’ patchy form in the Championship.

Oh well, Its sad but we will cope without him i expect. Lets hope we get at least £100,000 for him but I doubt we will.

The striker, 23, knows boss Mark McGhee is making him the scapegoat for the Seagulls’ patchy form in the Championship because he couldn't hit a cows arse with a Banjo and Stumpy Tim has a better strike rate. Knight went on to say, I'm hoping to step down a few levels so I can be a big fish in a small pond' At the time of going to press his agent has said 'we are considering several offers from the North American Ewok League' Albion are unlikely to see much profit from the player as Chelsea will take a cut through a sell on clause, that amount will probably be enough to keep Frank Lampards' Bentley COntinental topped up with 5 star for a week

sounds about right to me

This is the Argus's piece on Leon. Doesn't say he's handed in a request but some interesting facts in it nonetheless.

http://www.thisisthealbion.co.uk/brighton__hove/albion/ALB_NEWS1.html

"He has notched just 11 goals in his last 70 appearances for Albion, with nine in 61 games in the Championship since spearheading the promotion campaign two seasons ago."

He's done a good job for us, definitely in getting us to The Championship but perhaps now's the time to let him move on.

Mr. Mcghee will be shipping Leon out as soon as a decent offer comes in. Not forgetting Chelsea will claim 50% of the sale fee :shootself
