I agree about Pulp Fiction, it was quality.

If your colleague thinks it was 'pony and trap' then i'd say he is not a fan of taratino at all. It is a very well made film IMHO.

Dialogue wise its class and its a very very funny film in places without being overly so to take away from the storyline.

See it at the cinema, it's worth it.

Seconded. You don't learn wit and style at film school, you either got it or you don't.

Now Pulp Fiction was good but Reservoir dogs was better but to top those, a little known black and white film 'Man Bites Dog' out at the same time made Reservoir Dogs look like the Magic Roundabout!

Excellent film up there with Pirates of the Caribbean, Good Bye Lenin and Buffalo Soldiers as films of the year for me.

Tarantino fans will probably get all orgasmic over it but I thought it was a pile of dog poo! I'd rather watch Lisa Riley pole dance than sit through this crap again!!

Saw it on Satdi night (must say the UGC in Enfield has the most legroom in a cinema known to man). Great film, really enjoyable, and one that you don't want to end. Makes me a little perturbed about moving to Japan though... :lolol:

Unfortunately the extra leg room doesnt make up for getting your car broken into, or being started on by the hordes of kappa/stone island/burberry, teeth sucking wankstains who call Enfield "me yard".

And its full of Spurs and Arsenal fans!

I hate this town - the sooner I move jobs and can start my campaign to get the place torched the better!

Not the real one
Saw it in San Francisco at the beginning of the month. Didn't like it. Best bit was the Cartoon, would have been better if the whole film was in cartoon because that is what it looked like anyway. There isn't any point to it, woman gets shit kicked out of her and loses baby. Then woman goes round to kick the shit out of everyone that was in on it, and thats it!
The violence is cartoony silly violence and doesn't really make you care for any of the characters, therefore for me there was no suspence. The script is ok but the fight scenes are too much like The Matrix but just not done aswell.
For me, (and I know some of you will get upset by this) it's daft. The only way this film can redeem itself is if the second part is so fantastic that you don't mind sitting through the first film to get to it. Nowhere near as good as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction or Dusk Til Dawn. Infact shouldn't even be mentioned alongside them.

Hardly 'little-known' is it?

I haven't seen anything this year to touch the best film of last year, Talk To Her. Although last night I did go to watch The Leopard - 40years old, and still a masterpiece.

From Dusk til Dawn, are you taking the piss? That film is a joke.

The best film I have seen this year is mystic river.

Can't comment on the film (its currently downloading), but the book was good. I actually prefer the other books be Dennis Lehane though, they are all based round a couple of PIs and their mental mate. If you enjoyed Mystic River then check em out.

Gotta say I rated Kill Bill, a must see!. Its gorey and funny, what more can you want?

Faldo, you didn't happen to be in Starbucks in Enfield Town yesterday did you?

I walked past starbucks. I dont get paid enough (yet) to actually go in there.... And with the Kings Head so close by, its not much of a temptation....

You local?
