Well purely based on Saturday, he could take Buckley's place, just behind Ulloa and running the channels and Buckley would replace Lopez. It would just give you many different options. Lopez was as poor as I've ever seen him on Saturday. That's not to say he should be dropped, but it's nice to keep players on there toes to keep performance levels high.

I'd be happy with Doyle - seems to be versatile and knows where the goal is - may not get 20+ a season but even if he chips in with 10 or so i wouldn't complain.

Plus, he's a striker - at the moment we are very light in that department.

I cannot see that Doyle is an improvement on Barnes to sit on the bench because either would only be used as a sub for Ulloa .
