Get him signed!
He may be slow, but his vast experience will help the kids, and he's bloody hard!
No more bullying from the big centre forwards.
Don't underestimate Cullip's absence.
They are similar players after all.
Lets face it, Danny's no Olympic sprinter!

And where do you propose we find the money to pay the wages of an ex-England and Arsenal centre back who's hanging on for that last big pay cheque? In case you hadn't noticed the club has got the offering plate out.

He's hardly likely to be asking the earth in wages is he.
He needs to find a club that will have him first.
I'd rather spend a bit extra for an eperienced international defender than throw a 16 year old 1st year scholar into the melting pot!

Yeah, but they've kicked him out, if he lowers his expections (as I suspect he will have to) then he should still be considered.

I'm sure you would but we haven't got it to spend. Even if he halved his demands we still couldn't afford it. There'll be other clubs that meet his demands. Besides, I'd rather give our youth the chance. Why not play a 16 year old? If he's good enough he's good enough. If Rooney hadn't been thrown into the melting pot he wouldn't be banging goals in for England at age 18.

i dont think we should waste money on keown. main reason is i think we are gonna stay up anyway. so keep bringing the youth through. they have not let us down yet. (2 england u21's). both defenders. and a defender playing up front. even though cullip is a massive loss im sure we can cover that position just for a few weeks, without spending money we do not have.
