Gone to Blackburn with Appy. Good for him I say. He has had so much shit to put up with of late. Good coach and a great guy.

I'd forgotten he was still down there. Met John in the cricketers years ago, he was a really nice fella. East end lad who used to drive a cab around Canvey Island!! some cracking stories. Good Keeper Good luck to him, Blackburn has got to be better than Pompey.................marginally!!!

Is Ken Beamish still at Blackburn. Was working there when Allardyce was there before all the current troubles started.

Can't blame him although he seems to have left one Mckey Mouse club for another.

Crikey, that could be fun,an East End boy meets Eckee Thump !

I used to meet up with John on occasions and one day he popped in to The Castle in Worthing for a beer with me, one of the locals was a keen sunday footballer who played in goal, I think he was a little in awe of John when he found out who he was but, he plucked up the courage to ask John " What is the one top tip you can give an aspiring goalkeeper ? " Keelo took a long swill from his lager top, fixed him with a beaming Ultrabright smile and said " use yer 'ands son " ...... Classic !

Keelo is a great guy. He lodged with me when he first came to Brighton and we catch up from tome to time. So pleased he is still involved with his coaching and at a top club. No doubt he still knows loads of people up there from his Oldham days. Hope he has better luck this time though.
