Juventus- 30 point deduction, Relegated to Serie B, stripped of both titles.

Fiorentina- Relegated to Serie B

Milan- Stay in Serie A with 15 points deduction

Lazio- Relegated to Serie B, 7 points deduction.

What a history making day in Italian football.

The players don't care. They got World Cup Winners medals and increased marketing opportunities forever and the world is their oyster. They'll just jump ship. As usual, it's the fans that get shat on.

Everywhere
I wonder if Milan staying up had anything to do with Berlosconi (sp) I can see this one dragging, I reckon Toni to Man utd may happen when van nistelrooy leaves.

Here there and everywhere
The only ones I feel sorry for in this are the Fiorentina fans. As we know they went bust a few years ago and re-formed and had to work their way back up from
Sire C2. Part of that work has been wasted. Other than that I have no gripes.

I feel sorry for Fiorentina as well, but this week they've signed Mutu for 5.5 Million pounds, how crazy can you get?

But they got promoted 2 divisions in a year thanks to the bungling Italian FA, its swings and roundabouts

The punishments were about expected.

This will have no long-term impact on Italian football - all these clubs will be back in two years.

You've got to feel sorry for the fans. They didn't get very big gates before.

I am not so sure that too many players will leave, yes the clubs are being relegated, but they will probably all come straight back up again. I suspect many of the players will be on long and lucrative contracts, after all if you were playing for one of the bigger Italian teams it is unlikely that you would have a relegation release clause and I doubt if any of the clubs would have put them in of their own accord because doubtless they expected to remain in Serie A forever.

Silly question, but are the deductions from the season just ended or from the beginning of next season? If it is next season then Juventus face an uphill struggle from the start to get promoted back to the top flight.

What about Juventus who start with -30, they will need to gain at least 100 points to be in with a shout

I very much doubt Juventus will get promoted next season, and of course the best players will leave.

Sad isn't it, made me wonder if the judge supported AC Milan, or perhaps they are a Mafia club.

That's right, they'll write off next season but piss it the next. Back in Serie A in 2008-09, just in time to play Kerry Mayo's testamonial
