Just a minor concern of mine....

I'm a little bit concerned about us targeting all these older players to be honest. Surely we want to get some players in for the longer term, like Greer and Sparrow who have a fair bit left in them, not a 34/35 year old who has a year at best to give us, leaving us with another player to replace come next season?

But next season, if we use this short-term solution to whack us into the Championship, more players will be interested in signing for us in the long term, also factoring in Amex, next season could see younger, good players signing. I hope

IMO it's always worth considering experience, especially at this level. Looking back several years some clubs like southampton and swansea did particularly well with that policy.

Maybe we have got a few too many older players in the squad, but if they do the job and get us up to the championship it may attract better, younger players. Whatever happens i'm behind Gus and the team every step of the way :albion1:

I'm sure this is the game plan. I expect Gus's budget to be much bigger with the increased revenue from selling 10,000 + season tickets (hopefully!)

The 1901 seat money is on a 5 year contract basis. Bearing in mind TB will need to be paid back, at least on a drip drip basis, he also has to have the Premiership as a target if only for the money it generates. Blackpool stand to get £90million over a period even if they come straight back down.

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm fully behind Gus, literally can do nothing wrong in my eyes at the moment, but it just echoes a bit of Leicesters instant vying for EPL after being relegated with wolves, whereas wolves built back up from the youngsters, Leicester bought a load of old players and fell apart. I just don't want that happening here.
