Albion coach Nathan Jones is confident the players will not be complacent in tonight’s potential banana skin clash with Rotherham at the Amex.
The Seagulls, unbeaten and four points clear in the early Championship table, are odds-on favourites with bookies to chalk up a sixth win out of seven against the side at the bottom.
Jones says the preparation has been the same as it was for successive table-topping tussles with Ipswich and Hull.
The Welshman told The Argus: “You do exactly the same things you have done that have got you results in the past. Nothing changes. We’ve done our video analysis on Rotherham and it was the same mood, the same theme.
“Rotherham will come with their own desire and if we play at the maximum we can without being complacent, sloppy or lethargic then we’ll be very hopeful of a positive result.”
Next-to-bottom Huddersfield are the only team to have taken a point off Albion and third-bottom Blackburn ran them close at the Amex.
Jones warned: “The Championship is like that regardless of if you are down at the bottom, mid-table or top. Sides are much of a muchness. It’s a marginal league. Rotherham have certain characteristics that are very dangerous.”
