Is this our best squad ever?

we are now in such elevated territory that the old gits amongst us on this board can start making comparisons with the legendary teams of the late
70's and our brief foray in the top tier.

Is CMS our new Wardy? [perish the thought!]
Greer our new Fossie
Dunk our new Stevens

I know it is a different style of football , but I can't remember clinically taking the opposition apart on their home turf back then...but then being an old git I can't remember too much anyway

We played a more attacking game back then which made it great to watch and whilst the start of this season is great, you have to remember that the squad we had included players that were sold to top teams, Lawrenson and Robinson to Liverpool, the best team of the era, Stevens to Spurs, Fozzie to Villa (1981 European champs), Ward to Forest. As good as they are, I don't see any of the top 6 clubs coming in for any of our players.

We've played 3 games so far and we need to keep our feet on the ground. Having said that, the Championship title is still in our own hands if we win another 43 games!!!!!
