is there a more sucsesful period in brighton history than at withdean?

i know we had play-offs , runners up in an fa cup final , but have we had a better run , in terms of promotion ( and the relegation ) in the same 4 season period?
have we had players who have won honors with the club consecutivley?
is this the best form the club has ever achieved in any given period? away from our spiritual home the goldstone ground , have we surpassed all the dreams we held on the terraces at the goldstone?

The seasons '76 -'77 to '78-'79 were pretty good.Two promotions(only missed out on goal difference in '77-'78),two good League cup runs beating several higher division teams on the way,and the emergence of Peter Ward.

We all desperately want Falmer and the moaners on here (and aren't there a lot of 'em - just look at the new shirt threads) love to complain about the Withdean but it has to be said that the last 4 years have been an absolutely amazing time to be an Albion supporter.
