......for a brand new political party to storm into Westminster in the next election?

And if so what would it be? What would you vote for to get away from Tory and Labour?

The Tories are divided and in a total mess, Corbyn is looking to take Labour so far Left that they're almost off the political radar!

Something in the middle maybe, or something totally new?

Lib Dems, Green, UKIP? Making up the numbers or credible governments?

It would seem the Tory/Labour thing is soooooo last century now.

Do we need something new for the future?

Brexit aside, regardless of the outcome of that, what do we need from a truly electable political party for the 21st century?

Or just more of the same?

When we vote Leave and spiteful Osborne punishes us with the revenge budget. That day will be the beginning of the British Peoples Party. Just turn up at Parliament square but do not bring any Socialist Workers Party, Communist Party or occupy flags.

As I've posted in another thread, this bears no resemblance to reality.

There have been three parliamentary by-elections since Corbyn has been elected, Labour has won them all, two of them with substantial swings (the third had a small swing against - less than half a percent). It has captured the London and Bristol mayoral positions on even healthier swings and held its vote in local council elections - it lost a small amount of councillors - but that was to be expected as Labour won them when it was at its highest point in the last parliament.

Despite the talk of a Corbyn-led party being unelectable, it's actually winning quite a few elections.

I agree that, given the state of the Tory party, Labour should be streets ahead, but I don't think that the party is quite in the state that you're implying

They were in Labour seats - there's often a swing against an incumbent party at by-elections

And the mayoral elections weren't by-elections

What about a central ground party that actually sticks to the centre, doesn't co-habit to be part of a coalition and lose all its principles. Isn't afraid to go back on a boshed policy. Actually listens to the voters of the country. Plans a manifesto based on what the public believe, obviously can't make all the people happy all the time, but something based on fairness at least. One that is straight talking, doesn't consider themselves before their electorate. Has open views to good initiatives. Basically everything we don't have now.
