Is McPhee up to the task of leading the forward line??

I think this is a big season for him, its make or break time, so if he can't do the business this season i would let him go!

I think the jurys still out :falmerspi :falmerspi :falmerspi

such a shame he got injured in pre-seasoan, McGhee commented on how much fit and stronger he looked after the summer break. It will take a few games for him to get back into it though, so dont start a witch hunt if he does play but not score after 3 games. Would'nt say its a make or break season as he's still young but Robinson is showing signs of becoming a permanent opposition to McPhee so if anything thats a good little battle to keep an eye on.

Either way I hope McPhee does come back and do us proud

Certainly did well at the start of last season... needs to be given the chance to prove himself at Championship level...

I'd love to see McPhee continue to improve, and I'm sure he will. And put Virgo the hole behind the front two, ghosting through to score the odd goal. :)

Why not, give the boy a chance, i think he could be a useful squad member, and remember its about squads these days, not starting 11's.

Would prefer the mighty Sir Adam Virgo up front for the time being, he runs his nuts off and if nothing else he's proved something of a lucky omen so far.

McPhee works hard but I can't see him being the answer to our striking problems.

Will be delighted to see him prove us wrong however....

Yes - don't change a winning team is always a good philosophy in my book. I certainly wouldn't say no to another big man coming in though - it would be great to suddenly have an embarrasment of target men. Like buses coming along all at once...

I doubt it, but hopefully he will be a useful squad player. He shows the ability in patches, but too often looks out of his depth.

For me, he's not big and strong enough to be a target man,(where as Virgo is) and he 's got no pace. He falls between 2 stalls.

However i hope he proves me wrong!!:) :) :)

It is a good philosophy, but not one to be slavishly adhered to. Note McGhee's recasting of the midfield from Preston to Leicester. Horses for courses is the other cliche that it has to co-exist with.
