Is it wrong to love seagulls so much as to have one as a pet?

For 2 weeks now we've been feeding him and he now comes into the house eating what he can, especially the cat food.
Even found him wandering up the stairs to the bedrooms.
As soon as he sees us, he's straight down and even bangs the back door with his beak to let him in.
What to do?

You have a cat? Let it loose.

:( we got 3 but they all just sit and watch the gull eat all their food, we have to laugh though, I've never seen a bird full of such bravado!
It's been tagged too, didn't know they tagged gulls

It's probably part of the British Trust for Ornithology's Ringing Scheme. Report it.

We did this with a gull that used to tap on our window & it was very interesting, It was taken off of a roof under licence as a chick in Rye as it was in danger of death & since had been spotted mainly in Hastings but all along the south coast from Ramsgate to southampton & 4 times on the coast in France. worth doing.

We used to feed a seagull at work. It would come and wait on the windowsill, then fly off when someone put some food on there and come back when they'd gone. Once, someone put a biscuit - digestive, or somesuch - out and he downed it in one. Looked ever so funny going down his neck; like something out of Tom and Jerry.

That windowsill picture is brilliant, he looks indignant that you haven't let him in yet.

I have a seagull that when I sit in the garden sits on the table a foot away waiting to be fed - he also tries to sit on window sill when I'm on the computer

I bring you love!

DR HIBBERT
Is that the love between a man and a woman, or the love of a man for a fine Cuban cigar? (chuckles)

ALIEN
Uh...I bring you love!

we have got hundreds of them round here and only once one dared to come in and have a look at the cats food ....no panic from the cats (Meggy opened one eye to look and went back to sleep) they are very cheeky chaps and chapesses, neat clean but do tend to shite everywhere all birds it seems like cat food Robins in particular.

maybe its them getting there own back?
