The popular term in use at the PI for those alternative sites which are clearly unsuitable for single or multiple reasons could I think be applied to Ian Hart's injudicious use of airtime on Saturday evenings during "The Ian, Doris, Enid and Chums from Worthing Air Head Show".

Mr Hart's clear lack of intellectual capacity to grasp and judge issues and his gross insensitivity to the very real issue of the moment, Albion's actual survival, is tiresome to put it very mildly.

Simply put - he does NOT do a great job, not even a good one.

He tries to create sensationalism at every opportunity and to be frank the sooner the BBC replaces him with other(s) who can draw out real debate from the dwindling number of listeners (include me in that) the better.

His type of banter is more suited to a swilled out pub at 11.30pm on a dull Sunday evening.

I have a simple message for Mr Hart.

Go before you are pushed !!!

In the meantime if you have nothing of substance to say (which is usual) then just stop excavating that deep hole which you are continually digging for yourself.

I do not doubt that Mr Hart thinks he is an Albion fan.

The trouble is I have great difficulty in determining a definition of his brand of loyalty.

The PI reconvenes on Tuesday morning. Would be an education for Mr Hart to turn up just once. He might learn something for a change.

It would also be a grear surprise if he did.

Meanwhile at the PI "Alien Bert" of Falmer Parish Council could be in trouble for giving out a rather large porkie in his evidence re Shoreham Airport.

Meanwhile Mrs "Bert", who always sits diligently by his side. allegedly sucks lemons for pleasure and was clearly seen spitting pips (was I imagining this) when "Bert" mentioned his 'friend' ANGELA, the anonymous transport expert.

Who is this "ANGELA" ?

Perhaps Mr Hart could use his influence with the BBC to determine whether this lady even exists or, dare I say it, is even a bloke!

I remember once upon a time a certain Cabinet Minister, who got himself tied up in knots with a microphone when being interviewed by Jeremy Paxman, allegedly had a chum called Vanessa. Her nickname on Fleet Street was "Vanessa the Undresser".

I could never imagine in a thousand years "Alien Bert" ever being less than faithful so why the secrecy over "ANGELA'S" identity, hidden for BUSINESS reasons apparently. Sounds very dodgy to me. Much like some of his so called evidence.

No doubt one day the truth will be told and one day the fans will have a decent phone-in to look forward to as well.

Another sensible post from an idiot who tried to get the worst doss house of a pub in Haywards Heath, The Sussex saved sums it all up really.

Has Ian upset you because he has forgotten more about BHA than you ever knew and whenever you phoned in he told you that you were talking crap.

Why should this 'man' come out of the pub and post a tirade of personal abuse at Ian Hart who after all is only doing a job to the best of his ability and does not profess to be a journalist and give a phone in that is to the liking of many fans. He excelled himself earlier today, and I am gald to see his post was removed.

My dear BG

Actually I only liked the Sussex for the live music played there.

I hardly ever drink. More a coffee man than a "coffin"man you see.

You clearly are of "the air head" variety and you are welcome to this awful programme as it presently presented.

I have better things to do now on a Saturday evening than listen to Hart's drivellings and poutings.

Yes, he can sometimes be quite funny but unfortunately the balance is more often redressed by his ill thought through agendas.

Inso far as your comments upon my knowledge of the Albion compared to Mr Hart you are clearly ignorant of the fact that some of the books written on the Albion would have been rather short on pictorial content without my contributions.

Also I was watching and supporting the Albion long before "coffin man" was born.

So go vent your spleen elsewhere dear boy !

Are we now to get into the realms of I have been watching The Albion longer than you so what I say goes.

Unfortunately Ian had no say in when he was born and so has not be following them for anywhere near as long as me but he sure as hell has done a lot for the supporters of the club in the time that he has supported them.

As has been said many times if you do not like his radio show you have the same option as people told Barbara Whitehouse many times when she complained of TV programs use the on off button.

PS

Was I really being abusive ?

Oh dear, so sorry to hurt your feelings in criticising your devisive friend.

In fact I intended to be
VITRIOLOIC !!!!!!!!

and I KNOW there are many Albion fans who entirely agree with me.

(Lord B - you can take pills for "pantoitis". For best efficacy take between 5pm-6pm Saturday evenings when wearing ear plugs !)

Clearly BG you can't enter a rational discussion which is perhaps why you like Mr Hart so much. Bird(brains) of a feather flock together, so to speak.

I think it also helps, but it is not decisive, to have played the game at a senior level, which I have. Ever heard of Lilleshall ? Been there. Done it. Great place.

Hart knows sod all about the game and even less about radio journalism.

WHO IS "ANGELA" ???????

Let's cut to the chase. A really important issue. This woman must be outed.

"Alien Bert" must be forced to reveal her/his identity. The whole PI could be swayed by her evidence. NOT.

"Bert" sussed again.

Perhaps "she" could be persuaded to go on "THE SHOW" in which case I just might be tempted to listen in again.

Probably not. My SCR button shows definite signs of rusting.

Eastbourne Borough hardly ever/never get a mention.

Surely this is not a sign of bias ?

Listening to the show would make a visitor from Mars think there are only two football clubs in Sussex.

Well there is only one team as far as I am concerned. but do have a soft spot for the Borough but not Seaweedy Worthing - Going No-Where Noddies !!

I happen to have passed the FA Coaching Examination having attained higher marks than Jackie Charlton which was done through Lilleshall but does that make me a better fan than you or anybody else?

Incidentally I haven't been to the Public Inquiry because I am not an expert in Planning in fact I know very lttle about the subject other than what I think we should have or rather what I would lke us to have but I leave that to those who are well aquainted with the lawsand proceedures to keep me informed as to what is happening but again does that make me any the less a fan than somebody who has been. In your eyes it appears to as in Ian Harts case.

"ANGELA" apparently is also an expert on COACHING - Coaching-in fans !!!!!

Congratulations on passing your FA Coaching Exam. (And O-Level English Language too ?)

Beat Jackie Charlton?

Gosh. I am deeply impressed - next thing you'll be applying for MM's job when he leaves - although I sincerely hope that won't be for a very long time !!!!!!!! Perhaps by the time Ben is 90 ?

By attending the PI is an education in itself. So often one hears on "THE SHOW" fans saying "Why don't Brighton Council just give us a ground ?"

By attending the PI these fans, and Hart, would then learn how difficult it has been to even get even this far with Falmer.

Martin Perry has done a superlative job and the team of experts he has put together has been simply 1st Class.

But these people are only human. By attending the PI fans give encouragement and support and I know it is appreciated.

However quite clearly you are all pallsywallsy with Mr Hart.

In my view, and I am entitled to that view whether you, Lord B or anyone else thinks diifferent, "THE SHOW" would be far superior if a presenter with a more mature approach was appointed.

Ian Hart is too much "Jack the Lad" for my liking and his opening remarks to Martin Perry last Saturday ie "According to the Argus the Albion have lost £30,000,000. Isn't that careless ?", was plain stupid.

Hart admitted he had not even read the article. Dumbo !!!!!!

In many ways this programme now operates at Neanderthal level, Hawsie and Norman Gall excepting. A lot more fans would listen in but now can't be bothered. They find Hart's presentation extremely irritating just as I do.

I simply am not interested in his opinions nor his agendas.

Clearly he enjoys his celebrity, almost revels in it. Unfortunately I don't. He is not just an ordinary fan. He is a presenter on the BBC and with that comes responsibilities. The fact that he is an Albion fan should not be used by people like you or the moderators to say he should not be criticised. Go back and look at your first responses to this thread. Emotional rubbish. Clearly you are a member of the Royal Society for the Protection of Ian Hart - along with some moderators it would seem.

Whilst SWEARING and FOUL LANGUAGE is permitted, almost encouraged, almost the norm one might say with some, when someone comes along with something to say, albeit pretty blunt, people like you come up with such banal responses its almost unbelievable. Keep to the point and you might just get somewhere.

One last question. Who moderates the moderators ? Seems some of them have an agenda too.

Chow !

:lolol: Now why haven't I noticed your postings before. I'm guessing this will be a well-viewed thread by the time I look in again tomorrow afternoon. Cruel but quite funny in its Albion political incorrectness.

I put it to you SSZ, that in creating a thread (and using BOLD text) devoted to slagging IH, at this late juncture, when there have already been TWO entire threads made doing the same thing on the same subject - that you are trying for more attention to yourself than the subject you have raised.

How do you plead ?

Insanity is an option (and quite likely it appears), in case you wish to plea bargain, but you will be required to watch a p&l#ce game with toothpicks holding your eyes open, as shock therapy punishment.

CLLLLLAAAANNNNNNGGGGGG! I thought my old PE Teacher (Gerry Armstrong, the tennis umpire) was the biggest name dropper I had come across until you. Priceless stuff, the way you get drawn into constantly replying to a wind up thread and yet are unable to justify your own facts on others. :lolol:

Sorry got mixed up with the names at 2.09am It should have been MARY Whitehouse.

To TGC It wasnt and isnt a case of name dropping SSZ was prattling on about Lilleshall and having played at a high level and I was just trying to tell him that I knew about Lilleshall and also about his'high level of soccer'. If you are really interested but I am sure that you aren't as facts seem to pass you by Peter Taylor, yes the one who got us promotion, got his first job in management at Dartford after I turned it down as not the right job at the right time.

That still doesnt make me a better or worse fan of BHA than anybody else.

Work permitting I shall attend the later stages of the Public Inquiry and just to clear up one point from what I read and hear I think MP and his team are doing a remarkable job at the PI. Albeit I do not believe that we should have been in this position but that is another story.

Are we name dropping?

I bowled out Geoff Boycott in the nets at the County Ground, when Sussex were playing Gods own County. Word went round that he was "having a net " and I wandered over and I asked Don Wilson the coach if I could join in an bowl at him. He patted a few back and I let one zip and it took his off stump. I have lived on that moment for all my Cricketing life.

Guess that's ultimately down to your 'friend' who encouraged Archer to buy the club isn't it?
