Simbafoot: Maheta hello?
Maheta: I m'appelle Molango Maheta, I was born on July 24, 1982 in Switzerland in Saint-Imier. I am assailing of point droitier (1.87m for 81 kg) able d'évolué also on the sides. Of father congolais and Italian mother my dream with always be to defend the colors of the RDC at the time D a Cut D Africa of the Nations. The EDGE 2004 arrives it at named point...

Simbafoot: Which was your course?
Maheta: My first steps in the world of football occur in 1989, in Switzerland with the F.C Tramelan. After a passage to the F.C Courtelary, in 1994, j'intègre rows of the juniors of the F.C Bienne (regional séléction). With less than 18 years, I gain the Swiss title of champion of the category, which allows me d'intégrer l'équipe first of the club, which evolves/moves in first league (equivalent of National 1 Frenchwoman). 7 matches only and 4 goals and a recruiter makes it possible to me to make the great jump with l'Atletico Madrid. During 2 years, j'évolue respectively in l'équipe C then in the Reserve. Finalment, this summer, I leave l'Espagne for Bundesliga German where I sign a 2 year old contract with option for a third year, with the SV Wacker Burghausen(in the area of Munich) which militates in D2 German.

Simbafoot: After your passage to l'Atletico of Madrid, which do you retain Spanish football?
Maheta: When one has l'occasion to play in a large club like l'Atletico and d'évoluer in a championship such as the Spanish championat, one can notice at which point football can take an immense dimension. In Spain people are réellment impassioned of foot what creates a comparable enthusiasm of nothing with what j'avais been able to know in Switzerland or what I currently live in Germany. D'autre leaves the fact côtoyer of the players of the gauge of Burgos, Dani, Stankovic or Albertini cannot qu'être enriching and makes it possible to notice an evolution in your career. Even if competition is very large within all the categories of the club, creating a climate of tension sometimes, one can say d'une general manner that the level of the Spanish foot is very recorded and that the concern of practising a football fluid and pleasant is constament present what is certainly a great source of motivation for the players. My experiment inhabitant of Madrid was also l'occasion to discover the aspects less reluisants football which unfortunately occupy a place increasingly larger.

Simbafoot: What do you currently think of your club?
Maheta: Wacker Burghausen is a relatively modest club which hopes in the years to come to consolidate its German position in D2 and to perhaps aim at a place in l'élite football German thereafter. The healthy economic structure of the club and its young manpower make it possible to see l'avenir with serenity (2 international German less than 21 years, an international Morrocan and international congolais, unfortunately not RDC!!)

Simbafoot: How happens your season to Wack?
Maheta: The fact d'évoluer in a club with dimension more "humaine" is very important for a young player like me. Indeed, daily work s'éffectue without the pressure present in the large clubs, which enables me to progress quietly. For the moment, I pass by one period d adaptation to my new German reality. Here football concoit in a different way qu'en Spain. The tactical rigour and l'engagement physics are essential!! But d'une general manner, I do not regret my choice and j'espère to be able to very soon be able to show all my capacities.

Simbafoot: What do you think of Congolais football?
Maheta: The simple fact d'énoncer the list of players congolais who evolve/move in the most raised championships d'Europe speaks about is... Makelele, Nonda, Luyindula, Lua Lua, the Mpenza brothers, Makukula, Musampa... etc. The foot congolais has an immense potential and a great future in front of is. With condition, of course, that all is done to frame in an optimal way the players and to enable them to prepare with the rigour necessary the next expiries to come. It becomes really too difficult to take part as a passive spectator in the triumphs on the international scene of nations which are not stronger, at least potenciellement, qu'un country like the RDC....

Simbafoot: You have a club preferred in RDC?
Maheta: I am regulièrement the results of the various congolaises teams so much at the national level as at the continental level thanks to Internet, and in particular thanks to your Simbafoot site. Small J'avoue to have leaning for Vita Club, about of which my father m'a spoken always much

Simbafoot: The EDGE c'est in approximately one month. Which are the chances of the RDC?
Maheta: To take part in the EDGE was always a dream d'enfant for me. To represent its country in such a competition would be a great honor. The fact that the EDGE took during years a media dimension without precedent, would allow the RDC, in the event of good prestation, to recall to everyone that this nation abounds in talents and would deserve more consideration on the international level. I am persuaded qu while preparing in a serious way, a good result would be possible!

Simbafoot: In so much qu'attaquant, which is your feeling on the wound of NONDA?
Maheta: Personellement j'ai much of respect for the course of Shabani Nonda. C'est a very large player who knew, step by step, to create a way towards glory. J'ai be likely to follow its course since these European beginnings to Switzerland in Zürich, and I must say that its trajectory is impressionante! Even s'il currently crosses moments difficult, I am sure qu it will leave there reinforced and qu it will know represented with brilliance the colors of the RDC about the European scene! I profit to wish him a good and fast re-establishment and j'espère to have l opportunity one day to be able to play his sides!!

Simbafoot: Which is your model of African player?
Maheta: Without any doubt, George Weah.

Simbafoot: Are separately the foot which your centers d'intérêts? Maheta: In parallel with my footballistic career, j'entreprends of the studies of right and I am currently in troisiême year. It is necessary to be conscious that the career d'un sporting is relatively random and that unfortunately we are never with l'abri d'une wound. And after all, our career is relatively short, therefore better is worth to ensure its future...

Simbafoot: Which is your opinion on the new trainer of the simbas?
Maheta: All the echoes which reached me about it were very positive. Its references speak very clearly in its favour and I am persuaded that its assistance will be very invaluable for l'équipe national. If l'on allows the new national trainer and his group to work under good conditions to prepare a competition so much demanding like the EDGE, there is not any doubt that our
chances to appear well will be high!

Simbafoot: Your wish for this year?
Maheta: At 21 years, it is certain that the fact of knowing qu an appointment such as the EDGE which approaches with great steps, can only m'inciter work hard to arrive under the best conditions possible to Tunisia, if staff main road decided to call upon my services. J'espère in all the cases that this year 2004 is l'année of the rebirth of football congolais and that we can give of the pleasure to all the supporters congolais which will follow with interest the EDGE 2004
