Why did the ref give a free kick against Rooney when he lost his boot ( and in the process broke his foot)

Once that was given, and also the one where the Center back fell over Vassell, I had the impression he was a "homer"

He is getting the final as he is retiring and that will be his swansong.

I assume the FA wont be asking him to come to England to ref in the Premiershite as they will surely be doing to Collina

The swiss bloke was SHIT no two ways booking our players and not the portugise for the same tackles.

and of course how can you make decisions if you are 30 yards from the incident the linesman gave the goal a ref who could not see throught the mellie of players and diving goalie gives it as a free kick

every time the ball went to Vassell he gave a free kick to Portugal . .he may as well have just nt bothered coming on

he gave a free kick to Portugal for Rooney being fouled

he dissallowed a perfectly good goal

the two England bookings where justified IMHO, but having said that Portugal should be carrying at least three or 4 into their semifinal humiliation at the hands of Holland

I didnt think rooney was fouled when he had his boot taken off, however should have been a drop ball not free kick
