In desperate need of help

Juan Albion

Chicken Sniffer 3rd Class
I was playing a compilation CD the other day and a Barry Manilow song came on. Now I feel this urge welling up in me to go out and buy his Greatest Hits CD. Help! This can't be happening. Anyone would think I was middle-aged or something.

Any suggestions considered...

Get a grip, man.

I guess the song you heard was "Could it be Magic" as that's the only decent song he's ever done.

If it was Copacabana, you need psychiatric help!

*sniff* quite touching .

Lydon was rather miffed that he had 'come out' toward a Nice man like Mr Hilter - and I wouldn't care to pass on the info if he weren't such a pratt about it after the truth was revealed .

I might've banged his missus for his trouble, if she had been tasty - but she's a rough German biddy with a gammy leg and wears bag-lady clothing.....and she's ten years older than him as well . Rich though, mum to 'Ari Up' of The Slits, and daughter to a kraut newspaper mogul who owns such as the Frankfurter Algemeine . Fukkin weird pikey types, when all's said and done.

Could it be magic, the original by BM is one of the most superb love songs ever written. Even if you think the bloke is a twat, the song is lovelly.

On a par with " How to handle a woman" from the soundtrack of Camelot, sung by Richard Harris ( Dumbledore)

perhaps it was "Mandy".

Irritating Irish runts Westlife have just covered it and will be smiling sincerely at a Top Of The Pops camera near you very soon.

I like Herb Alpert!

I think it stems from going ice skating at the Top Rank, Saturday mornings, when I was a kid, and the only record they had was "The Best of Herb Albert"

Herp Alpert, the instrumental bit of 'this guys in love with you' haunted me since I was about six. I kept hearing it and hearing it in my head and couldn't understand why I felt so bad. Anyway I was watching VH1 late one night and it showed the full video. It was quite emotional to hear it all and to finally know what it was after all these years but Istill haven't unlocked the bad memory attached to it.

Just thought I'd share that with you :)

I must admit that one of my favourite songs EVER is Goodbye To Love by the *ahem* Carpenters.

It's got the bestest guitar solo in the whole wide universe.

Bazza Manilow is superb - I've seen him live and he spent the whole evening taking the piss out of his nose - classic! and comparing his nose to Barbara Streisands - brilliant!!

must admit I'm a closet Manilow fan myself....
