Don't get ideas above your station
Stick with the guys who are proven and got you there
Make Pascal Gross your first signing

Thanks Mate

Legend, NEVER forget the two seasons before we got to the Premier League. Some of the best times ever as an Albion fan

Thrills, spills, heartbreak and ecstasy.

The man is a gent.

Chris Hughton, his name is hardly ever mentioned now. Such a shame, without him at the helm we probably wouldn't have reached the Premier League, or still been in it.

Enjoy your retirement Chris, you've earned it. Please don't be tempted into a come back, you have done your bit now.

Ironically, I think Forest fans carry an entirely different view of CH (his spell there was a disaster tbf).

Surprisingly, Steve Cooper has followed the Fulham path of COMPLETELY dismantling the squad that got them promoted. That always works well.

Wise words.

Scott ‘the ego’ Parker sat Mitro on the bench for most of Fulham’s last EPL season. They were relegated.

Marco Silva now knows that EPL survival in inextricably linked to their star striker. The striker who just bullied the **** out of Van Djik. Fulham will survive.

If I was a Forest player and we got JLinz in on £200,000 per week after all the effort to get to the PL, I'd want to see him single handedly keep the club up and want half his wages myself.

CH and TB, PB etc... did us proud. Kept the core team together whilst strengthening the key areas we were weak in.

Evolution not revolution.

He has no choice, most of his starting team were on loan. They’ve made some decent signings and with Cooper in charge, I think they’ve got a good chance of staying up.

Villa had to do the same when they came up and managed to survive so it’s not always a disaster.

He's not retired! Apart from the little matter of looking after Ghana, he's got a wonderful little sinecure here:

Brighton manager gets the award - hardly surprising with two former Brighton managers on the panel! Fix!!

A gent whose brand of football you wouldn't or couldn't watch......

History being rewritten somewhat there? Yes, some games were nothing special, as you'd expect over four and a hlf seasons, but we played some fantastic stuff in the Championship and the PL wins home and away against West Ham and at home to Arsenal and Manchester United were fantastic. And have any of Potter's games in charge seen a goal as exquisite as Izquierdo's at Stoke?

Oh l don't know, the brand he played in our Championship days was some of the most exciting l've ever seen the Albion play.

Maybe it wasn't Chris who returned to manage us in the Premier League, but his identical twin, negative Nigel Hughton.
