... and have an hour free on Saturday lunchtime and are in the Shoreham area, come along to St Mary's Church. A small choir (don't know the name) are giving a short recital, only about an hour, of choral pieces by living British composers ranging from Howard Goodall to John Taverner. My interest in this is that one of the 'living British composers' whose work is being performed is my daughter!

'Sing-off' (not sure of the correct term for the start of a concert) is apparently twelve o'clock (midday). Hope to see some of you there!

Note for Bozza: Sorry didn't want to burden your PM inbox. I know unofficial advertising is frowned on, but as this isn't a commercial venture and no money is changing hands (there's no admission fee), I hope you'll let it slide this once.

Sounds great... I sing in a large London choir specialising in 20th English repertoire and it's something I get a lot of pleasure from... it is a pity I can't make it :(

I hope you and your daughter enjoy hearing her music being performed!

I suspect the JT will be Sir John Tavener, as John Taverner could hardly be called living... have gone to meet his maker in 1545

Thanks! And yes, it's Tavener, not Taverner.
