as much as I hate the runting bastards I would *NEVER* want them to go out of football....although if they did and came back as as AFC Palarse then that would be alright but it would'nt be the same.
We need teams to hate remember!

It took me longer than an hour. I had to battle through tears of joy and laughter. :jester:

What I found interesting, was the fact that they had a couple of lawyers and accountants posting on this thread and reading their comments made me realise, as a club they own nothing other than the players contracts.
But they are in so much debt that even if they sold all their star players they still might not be able to pay the HMR, who has put in the petition for a winding up order.

I agree with you mate, in past years when we were in same division, i never wanted them to get relegated or go up as it deprived us of two grudge games a season.

It does seem very concerning, but I can't help feeling that Jordan is trying to force out some potential buyers with this latest crisis. I can't imagine that he is potless and he would be a fool to let his crown jewels (Moses etc.) leave on the cheap.

Although the new buyers (if any materialise) will need balls of steel as Jordan owns nothing, seemingly.

But don't you think they are in a worse state than many other clubs on the brink? They appear to be in £30 million in debt with short leases on the grounds (training) and the rents are mounting up on these. Who would buy them without any assets? I can't see Jordan walking away with nothing, leaving behind all the money he has invested.

It doesn't make much sense to me. They would appear to be in a perilous situation and no-one stands to make any money back in the short term. However, I very much doubt Jordan would be willing or in a position to spunk £20m+ of his own money and walk away with nothing. Unless he is just one of those mad fans with little sense and too much money? Maybe he does have a hand in the ownership of the ground and training ground, indirectly?
