Yeah, it could be like a ride at a theme park where when you sit down you automatically get strapped in, and they only release when the final whistle goes. Some might say it's a bit draconian, but we don't want another Hillsborough do we? If it saves one life ...

Another advantage: it will stop all those tiresome debates on here about early leavers!
