It seems whenever we win a few, a proportion of fans just assume we will get promoted and then we lose a few and we're getting relegated?? (I know this isn't the majority of people). Lets face it, in this league, realistically, most people would be happy with anywhere between 1st and 21st in their first season.

Even when the good performances come we're not going to win every game so why don't that minority of fans just wait until May to see if we get promoted or relegated... or even mid table which would be the most likely outcome!

I don't see too many expecting promotion ... most I think would be OK with mid table. Nobody is expecting us to win every game but it's the manner of our performances that create the anxiety .. waiting till May to express concern would make the forum and it's purpose pretty redundant. We all want the very best for our team, whatever that means and I know I'm quite interested by many of the reasonable comments/observations/ideas both for and against posted on this board

I see what you mean but it just seems a few people are defining our season on about 3 terrible performances.

I honestly believe there is genuine concern being expressed. I may be wrong but for the most part we all want our club to be successful and mid table is just fine but we're in a rut and for the observer it's difficult to figure out what's going on .. ok we're not going to win every game and there will be some freak results against us (and hopefully for). Pretty well all teams will suffer a slump in form but this is going on a bit longer than the usual slump. There are teams below us with games in hand and others that seem to be on a minor run hence my worry and I suspect the same for others.

I do get agitated by those "FFS Gus is great" ... "give it time" .. "we're 11th" or whatever as I see it as being short sighted ... maybe the slump will end on Sunday and we're back to a more consistent run of results (win a few, lose a few, draw a few) let's hope so
