We're going to win the league. No doubt in my mind.

No Roberts, Watson, Cullip, Blackwell, Hart, Oatway, Rodger.

Flipping 'eck. 3-0. Blackpool are not a poor side.

CHAMPIONES CHAMPIONES ARE WE ARE WE ARE WE

They were today-absolutely woeful. Reminded me of Port Vale

To coin a phrase: "None of them could hit a cow's backside with a banjo"

Poor today because we were good. Our defence stopped everything. :)

They had some good positions, but their last ball in was poor. I think some of the better teams would have made it more difficult for us.

But saying that, we've played a lot of the top teams, and we're still top

Talking of which, driving back to Yorkshire this evening, we stopped at Leicester forest for a moment to change drivers. I nipped into the service station noticing the Hartlepool team coach in the car park.

There they all were playing the arcade machines. They were on their way back from Bournemouth. I still had my stripes on which one or two of them noticed and smiled at me.

We weren't going to. We even sold our tickets to friends. Then last night we were both talking about the game and we both really wanted to be there.

It is my Mother in laws birthday today and we're all taking her out to lunch for her 70th birthday.

We suddenly thought if we could get hold of tickets again that we could still get down there and back in time.

Emilys Mum came up trumps with one ticket last night (Friday) being picked up on the way and we bought a second at the club shop for Ned (he sat in the segregated away end)

So we did make it and I am shattered but happy after a 500 mile round trip

Blackpool came here with the reputation of a decent mid-table side with aspirations of making the play-offs. During the game they played some decent football and linked well. However they never looked likely to score (penalty claim or not) and our defence had a comfortable afternoon. Sure, we were given a goal after 2 minutes that allowed us to dictate the remaining play - but equally they had 88 minutes to get at us - which they completely failed to do.

All of this makes me wonder where it puts us in terms of our finishing position, and the only conclusion I can draw is that we really are much, much better than almost every team in the league. We've now played over half the teams in this league (including most of those at the top of the table) and frankly we've either beaten them or been the better side on every occasion. My advice is get your money out, get down to the bookies, and get it on us for the title - I believe we were about 6-1 last week. At these odds we must be a cast iron each-way bet - and even if we come third you'll still get a better return than leaving it in a bank!!

Reserves? Let's face it, with the exception of Cullip and Hart not a single player who is currently injured would make the first team at the moment. And rightly so!

Watson, Blackwell and Rodger would normally be considered first team players too.

The team that has played in the last two games is better than the previous 1st choice team. Only DC and OGH will make it back into the team if they continue to play like they have.

Whoops should have read page 2 and Seagull Stew's post before I posted
