Unsurprisingly mascots aren't designed with me in mind, and they certainly weren't about when I was of an age, so naturally I've always been a little sniffy about them.
This is my two's third game (5 & 6) and they are really getting into the swing/routine of things.
One sight of Gully at half time and my lad is off like a scalded cat, high fives, signed shirt etc. My daughter returns from the toilet, and all I see is a pink stripy blur, as she charges down the steps to also get up close to her 'heros'. Along with all the other little ones.
It's probably the highlight of the game for them.
That and the sweet shop on the East concourse (genius).
