Lush - I had France to win the tournament at 8/1 !.

However I think the Aussies are better value than England at 5/4 v 4/6. If Wilkinson does not kick straight England don't win as they cannot score tries.

I don't think swallowing Aussie propaganda will win you any money :)

If I could become a professional gambler and make it pay I would never work again. Unfortunately I have some way to go !.

It's easy to be a professional gambler.

Work out how much you want to win each day (say £1,000)

Back the first favourite to win £1,000 (i.e. put £1,000 on if it's evens).

If it loses, back the next favourite to win you what you lost on the first race plus £1,000 (i.e. if it's evens put £2,000 on - if it wins you get £4,000 and you're £1,000 up)

Stop when you've won your money for the day and start again the next day.

A word of warning - a losing streak could mean that your stakes start to rocket!

Ten losers at evens means putting on £512,000 to get your £1,000 daily profit!!! (A fatal flaw perhaps? Back to the drawing board...)

I know about the double your stakes method. I am afraid my pockets aren't that deep and you would have to have incredible bottle.
