I am trying to persuade my wife the hoarder to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff that is cluttering up our loft. What would be the best way of getting some cash for it - boot sale or ebay? I've never used either so any advice would be welcome

e-bay is ok if you know someone will definenrtly want it. if not, you could ned up getting a really low amount

try a boot sale first to sell it at your value, then if it doesn't go do ebay

My wife the hoarder has got seriously addicted to ebay, she has been selling all kinds of junk that has been in our loft for years. It just proves that people will buy any old tat.
If you have a good look first to see whether the stuff you have is already selling & at what kind of prices then you should get a good idea whether it is worth a go.

I spent about 9 months selling all my old stuff from my mum and dad's loft recently mainly old comics, annuals etc, on ebay and made about a £800.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
e-bay is OK, but it gets a right old mare when the buyer starts arguing the toss about this that or the other.

Good old house clearances are the best way forward.
