...and it has indeed just happened:

- An email gets sent to the entire firm
- Someone plans to forward it to a friend, complete with sneering/private comment, but accidentally replies to the entire mailing list.

Marvellous. I expect they're just sorting out his P45 as I type.

This happened a little while ago in my firm, an email got sent round to whole firm (350 or so people) about a summer ball, and someone replied to whole firm (when meaning just to reply to sender) saying "i izz gonna get well pished at this and try on my charms with Clare Rogers". Clare rogers being an incredibly unnatractive girl who he clearly was just mocking. And this was a HR person. Arse. Boot. Door.

Actually, I do have a question: how many more emails can we expect "reminding" us about the survey?

I count 3 so far, but it would be nice to make it to a nice round 10.

Excellent we had a situation a few years back where someone by default put some letter in a mail it copied the whole company.

Anyway the poor chap wrote some email from Nigeria saying his office did not have the view he thought so after about 20 reply alls the mail system collapsed

That was disappointing. hardly worth a mention never-mind being reprimanded for it.
Actually, this was the reply:

Actually, I do have a question: why don't you f*** off you boring old SLAG?"

I've never received an unintentional email but have receiebd plenty of unitentional texts (as well as a few phone calls). I think i receive more than average due to my name beginining with a B, which would put me near the top of most people's contacts. I had a couple from a workmate that were clearly intended for his missis, but the best was from my (now ex) father in law, which considering the fact that he was married to my then mother in law, was what might be described as an overly familiar text to a female work colleague!
