I LOVE the school holidays. It takes 20 minutes off my journey to work cos I'm not stuck in a procession of 4x4 off-road vehicles driving their little precious ones 150 yards down the road to the school gate.

School holidays are great. Churchill Square is rammed everyday with feisty young jailbait and makes walking home from work an absolute PLEASURE.

Too true, I heard a councellor denying that was the case on the radio a couple of years ago, I rang in and told them that I was driving along a road that was normally chock a block at 8.30am but was running freely, she just said that I was mistaken and that it made no difference. The presenter wisely thanked me for my call and cut me off.

If any councillor would like to sit in my passenger seat as I drive in to Haywards Heath along the A272 at about 8.30am during school hols, and then again in term time to see the difference, I would be more than happy to oblige. They would however also have to put up with my early morning flatulance and prolongued nasal excavations (with wiping), but its all in the cause of research.
