For years and years the Irish rights were sold as one with the UK, meaning all went to Sky and no 3PM matches

Not so anymore. RTE got the 3PM rights, as we're not in the UK and hence allowed show matches at that time of day.

Sky still have the early/late rights, though.

Yeah, I can't tell you how pissed off I'D be having to go to Anfield at bloody 5pm to watch the Albion. Poor Charlton. We don't know how lucky we are.

Last time we were in this division I was well hacked off that I had to watch the Wolves away game in a pub because I couldn't get there after work when it should have been a Saturday game.
