Oh No...

I Love It!!!...

A fabulous week of cricket on Sky Sports this week... Including Sussex on Wednesday... Who needs football eh?

:lolol:

Sky Sports 1
4:00 pm Monday Jun 28th

Coverage of the totesport Cricket League Division One match between Essex and Gloucestershire at Chelmsford. This is a day-night, one-day game of 45-overs-per-side. Both sides need a win to stave off the threat of relegation. Essex will look to inspiration from key players including captain Ronnie Irani and paceman Darren Gough in their bid to make home advantage count against opponents for whom struggle in one-day competition is an unfamiliar experience. Mark Alleyne's men have been the country's most successful side in limited overs cricket over the past decade, and they will be hoping a win here will provide the catalyst for a return to their best form.

Sky Sports 1
2:00 pm Tuesday Jun 29th

Coverage of the NatWest Series game between England and New Zealand at the Riverside, Chester-le-Street. This day-night game is the second match between these two sides in this triangular series, which also involves the West Indies. Following their recent Test series victory over New Zealand, England may feel they have a psychological edge in this match. However, with players as influential as the likes of captain Stephen Fleming and allrounder Chris Cairns in the squad, New Zealand should not be underestimated.

Sky Sports 1
4:00 pm Wednesday Jun 30th

Coverage of the totesport Cricket League Division Two match between Sussex and Durham at the County Ground in Hove. This is a day-night, one-day game of 45-overs-per-side. To the surprise of many people, Durham are in a healthy position in the table. However, they know victories against the division's strugglers will be vital to maintain their ambitions of promotion and will hope the likes of pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar can help steer them to success. Sussex are one such struggling side, although with players as experienced as spin bowler Mushtaq Ahmed and captain Chris Adams around, they will be confident of knocking Durham out of their stride here.

Sky Sports 1
2:00 pm Thursday Jul 1st

Coverage of the NatWest Series game between England and the West Indies at Headingley. This day-night game could represent one of the most memorable occasions of the triangular series. A passionate crowd will descend on Headingley hoping captain Michael Vaughan plays to his potential on his home ground. Durham fast bowler Steve Harmison has emerged as a key figure in England's success in recent times, and he'll be expected to produce the goods again against a West Indies side with plenty of talent themselves. Their batting line-up in particular, which includes players of the calibre of Brian Lara, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, could cause England problems.

Sky Sports 1
5:00 pm Friday Jul 2nd

Live coverage of the first match in the second year of the innovative Twenty20 Cup competition featuring Worcestershire against Gloucestershire at New Road. Worcestershire will be out for revenge following their defeat to Gloucestershire in the group stages of last year's tournament. Gloucestershire eventually progressed to the semi-finals, where they were beaten by Surrey, while Worcestershire failed to progress any further. Neither side has shown great form in limited-overs competition this season, but with Worcestershire boasting batsmen of the capabilities of Graeme Hick and Vikram Solanki, and with the equally impressive Gloucestershire talents of Shoaib Malik and Mark Alleyne, a high-scoring match is in prospect.

Sky Sports 1
10:30 am Saturday Jul 3rd

Coverage of the sixth game in the NatWest Series as New Zealand face the West Indies at Sophia Gardens, Glamorgan. As this triangular series reaches it's mid point, all three teams will have worked out each other's strengths and weaknesses. New Zealand allrounder Chris Cairns will be out to impress in this his last season of international cricket as he confronts the formidable West Indian batting line-up, and James Franklin, a fine seamer who impressed during the final Test against England, will find it a different ball game when he's up against the likes of experienced one-day batsman Chris Gayle and Ramnaresh Sarwan.

Sky Sports 1
10:30 am Sunday Jul 4th

Coverage of the seventh game in the NatWest Series as England face New Zealand at the County Ground in Bristol. It hasn't been a good summer for the New Zealand tourists so far, with their Test whitewash an embarrassment for the Black Caps. But captain Stephen Fleming's has been in fine form with the bat could inspire the Kiwis, while England captain Michael Vaughan's recent unbeaten 116 in the C&G quarter-final clash against Lancashire sets this game up nicely.

Shhh Bloody Yorkshire!!!

Atleast the flies won the battle of the kits, Yorkshire tried wearing their yellow strip but kept getting attack by flies during the warm up so had to change to a darker strip.

Never been able to get in to cricket myself. Is a bit of a shame because the people who I know that like it are absolutely mad about it and seem to get as much enjoyment out of it as they do from football.

Just always seemed a bit boring to me...probably not looking properly.

I would respectfully suggest that Mark Richardson's batting in the Lords test was not marvellous scenes

Depends on what you enjoy - gritty batting has a part to play in any test match. I'd rather have him in my team than Ricki Clarke, Anthony McGrath, Ian Blackwell et all I can tell you.

Am not filled with any hope in this England one day side until they get rid of that shambles of a middle order.
