After the 3-0 loss at wigan

I have not lost any sleep over the result on Saturday.

Now this is about the 3rd time he has said he is not bothered or lost any sleep over losses so far this season. It is insulting to the 600 people who made a 500 mile round trip to see the side whacked 3-0 to here this.

It also means as I thought he is under no pressure whatsoever this season to get any results of any kind. His remit is keeping us up if you can but it doesn't really matter if we go down.

I wonder if the notes Saturday will be

It was only a mickey mouse cup competition and although we lost to a side 2 divisions below us I certainly didn't lose any sleep over it.

Is he getting too complacent ?.

Against Coventry: "If Leon Knight had been playing, we would have won that game".

Against Bristol: "If we had a big target man, we'd have certainly converted more than one of those crosses".

Hmmm...I'm also fully behind McGhee, and maybe those comments are fair enough. At least he openly admits we are desperately in need of reinforcements up front, and they are working hard to get someone in. I certainly don't think he is being complacent, he just doesn't want to be seen to be hitting the panic button. We're still only in August, there is a WHOLE SEASON with which to turn this round. Last time, despite losing 12 in a row, we still managed to take it to the final day.

McGhee will sort it.

I thonk Mark needs to think a bit more before putting comments like that in the notes.

All Albions fans hurt after a big loss, they want, however unrealistic to win every game and to read the manager saying he didn't lose any sleep after a 3-0 defeat is not what they want to hear.

I too believe that he'll turn it around. However, last time we had a change of manager which gave us new momentum. If we continue as we are for a similar number of games as 2 seasons ago-will an incumbent manager be able to rescue our season? I hope we don't start racking up 12 or 13 defeats in a row to find out.....

what he says in public and what he says to the players in private, one would hope, are two completely different things.

you can't congratulate a team who's just been beaten, you can't even necessarily give them a pat on the back for winning, and I think we all know how you can play crap and win.

What' the point in worrying about a defeat. Its gone , is history, and losing sleep over it won't change anything. I'd rather he concentrated all his efforts on the next game.

Still, it's good to know he's getting plenty of sleep.
