Albion manager Chris Hughton reckons it is mad to take any notice of the club’s miserable record at the Madejski Stadium.
The Seagulls have already put one horror statistic to bed, so he is not fearful of the Halloween trip to Berkshire to tackle Reading.
Albion have won only once in seven visits since the stadium was opened in 1998.
They have let in five goals once and three goals twice during a run of four defeats and a draw since the solitary victory in 2003.
That pales in comparison to Albion ending a winless sequence in October stretching back to 2011 before beating Leeds at Elland Road earlier this month.
Bobby Zamora played a big part in Albion's only win at the*Madejski, in 2002-03
Albion’s most recent setback at Reading was under Hughton in March, when Jamie Mackie scored for the hosts either side of a Chris O’Grady penalty.
Hughton said: “They are a very good team. We’ll have to play better than we did last season to get a result.”
