Chris Hughton hailed his match-winning winger – and urged other Albion players to chip in.
Kazenga LuaLua scored the 35th-minute goal which secured a 1-0 success at home to Blackburn.
LuaLua has been decisive in all four victories his side have enjoyed in league and cup.
Hughton is enjoying various aspects of his performances but admitted the Seagulls left themselves vulnerable to a nervous finale.
He said: “Kazenga is playing a lot of 90 minutes, he has obvious ability going forward but he is doing a good job for the team.
“When it opened up in the second half these are the type of games you need to kill off and take off that type of pressure we had in the last ten or 15 minutes.”
Hughton admitted his side can keep the ball better than they managed today and praised David Stockdale for what he termed "two exceptional saves".
But he added: “I thought over the 90 minutes we were the better side.”
