Chris Hughton savoured a first home win as Albion manager tonight - and three special goals.
Joao Teixeira, with two, and Sam Baldock fired home to secure a 3-2 win over high-flying Ipswich.
Hughton said: "I'm delighted, more with the three points, because we needed them.
"We showed some good signs in Saturday's performance (0-1 v Brentford) but I'm also delighted with the performance, because we were up against a very good side that have showed why they are where they are.
"They are a tough team to play against and had direct spells where they do what they do very well, so we had to deal with a fair amount, but I thought we showed a lot of quality on the ball.
"I'm delighted for Sam, because he is somebody that has been used to putting the ball in the back of the net, and Joao was excellent."
