Chris Hughton believes Albion’s 1-1 draw was a fair and good result for his side.
But he would have loved them to have tested Reading more on counter attacks.
The Seagulls boss praised his side’s defensive work after points were shared at the Madejski Stadium.
He said: “Probably on the balance of play, and we’re the away side, I think it’s a fair result and it’s a good result.
Things get heated at pitchside
“We probably didn’t play well enough on the break when we won possession and we needed an outlet.
“I thought we scored a very good goal but you have got to defend well and you have got to defend for 90 minutes against these.
“It’s tough because of the quality they have got so overall I can’t be too disappointed with a point.”
