I thought Hoskins did well, fantastic run just before he went off.

Put himself about reasonably well, assisted Bridge defensively on numerous occasions in the first half. Held the ball well at times, some decent link-up - but was rarely able to threaten the goal from that wide-left position. I can't imagine it's a role he's used to playing.*

*I say that, he did used to play there quite a bit Rovers, didn't he? Still, I'd wanna see him in a more advanced/free role if he was to get a run in the side.

I thought he had a good game personally. Was it the foul on him that Lua Lua scored the free kick from or the one after?

In my view he had a good game. For the free kick which we didnt score from he robbed the full back and was about to take on the centre back when the full back took his leg away from behind. Hoskins looked very frustrated as he thought he had a good chance (as did the full back no doubt). Looks a very tidy footballer.

Hoskins played out of position for most of the time he was on the pitch. When Dobbie went off and he moved more to the middle he was more effective and it was his run that led to the freekick for KLL. Think he is worth a run in the team ahead of Dobbie who was, in the main, ineffectual.

Bought as a centre forward scored 24 goals the same year Bristol Rovers got relegated and gets played in midfield.. will GP ever try 4-4-2?!

Orlandi didn't look any great shakes when he first came into the side.
4-5 games later and we are all cacking ourselves because he's injured.

I disagree. He looked class for the 20 mins he played at Burnley the day after he signed.

He did OK I think Dobbie was the biggest let down for some time

Oh yeah, deffo.

But the run of games he had through November, culminated in his performance v Bolton where he owned the game.

Thought Hoskins did okay today. Played out of position but worked hard and tracked back well.
..............but can see why Barnes is employed by Gus in that position. The trouble as i see it,is that by only playing one striker, then all the other strikers play out of position, even Dobbie, who had an ineffectual. game i thought was playing too deep

Mixed messages it seems. Jury is out but I think the point about Orlandi is relevant. I reckon Hoskins should be given at least 4-5 games to get up to speed before judgement day.
I'm worried about Dobbie's commitment and effort though...

Jury out in my opinion, cant say Hoskins or Dobbie are the answer
