The legal costs for the enquiry are borne by the club I presume hence the allegation of the compensation money for Steve Coppell and BZ transfer fee.

What is the money collected in the buckets for?

I am always reluctant to just chuck money in a bucket where there is no control over what is collected and then not know how much is collected or what happens to it.

I am sure that there are a number of supporters like myself who would contribute if they knew exactly what they were contributing to. Obviously the answer is the ultimate aim of Falmer but in what way now are we contributing via these buckets.

My understanding of Saturday's collection is that money raised will go towards the cost of banners in readiness for the Labour conference.

That's new banners...not reprints of the JP ones used at Cardiff

Sadly a lot of the Cardiff banners failed to make it back to England - ours fell down to the lower tier nver to be seen again.

That's my understanding too.

Thanks to the fizziness of a pint of Grolsch, to say nothing of the Sportsman's enthusiasm for the product's famous advertising slogan ("I sure as hell ain't rushing to serve you" - or something like that), I didn't get to the gates until about 2.58pm.

So I never saw a bucket myself.

I completely forgot to look out for the buckets, too, and don't recall seeing any.

Perhaps we need another collection at the Preston game? Or did enough get collected on Saturday?
