Zac must have had a lot of input to the decision to appoint Rob as his successor, and Jim May is not the sort of bloke to throw away our financial resources. Next season will be my fiftieth as a Sussex Member and I am so glad that Sussex is run the way it is now, and NOT as it was in the Sixties, with a fifty-plus sized Committee and too many amateurs getting involved in decisions beyond their scope or ability. These were the days (just ask Snowy) when SOME Committee members could not even tell if Sussex were batting or fielding ! I kid you not. However much Rob is on you can guarantee it will not be an outrageous or unaffordable amount. I have every faith in those who have appointed him and wish him and Sussex a great season next year.

The point is why should we be told how much the wages of rthe CEO are it is of no concern to us mere supporters. If the powers that be at either BHA or SCCC say they can afford it and it represents VFM who are we to disagree.
