...do you think we will need for a playoff spot?

I think we'll end up needing 5 points myself:

Nationwide Football League Division Two table
Fri Apr 16

...................... P GD PTS
1 Plymouth .... 42 41 81
2 QPR ............ 42 34 76
3 Bristol City.... 42 20 75
4 Swindon Town. 42 17 69
5 Brighton ....... 42 17 67
6 Hartlepool..... 42 11 66
7 Port Vale...... 42 6 63
8 Bournemouth. 41 9 61
9 Luton Town... 41 3 59

If Bournemouth win their game in hand they will be three points behind but with a much worse GD, meaning that we will finish in the top 6 with 3 wins in our last 4.

We've got Notts County & Posh at home, Bristol C & Wrexham away. If we don't beat Posh at home, I'm going to get nervous. If we do beat them, we're virtually home and dry.

Remaining fixtures (battling for 3 playoff places)

Swindon
----------
Wyc W
OLDHAM
qpr
HARTL
7 points = 76

Hartlepool
-------------
NOTTS
Rushd
PLYM
Swind
7 points = 73

Port Vale
------------
CHEATS
Notts
TRAN
Rushd
9 points = 72

Bournemouth
-----------------
TRAN
Luton
Posh
STOCK
Brent
9 points = 70

Luton
-------
BR CITY
BOURNE
Wrex
SHEFF WED
Cheats
7 points = 66

If that pans out, it'll mean Albion need 72 points and a better GD than Vale to finish 6th

I think 6 points will suffice.

That's two home wins because our away form is so poor!

We could actually (mathematically)lose all 4 games and still finish 5th.

I think 6points SHOULD do it but have a feeling we are going to need 3 wins to make sure.

I agree 5 would do it. I'm really nervous about Posh tomorrow and can see us getting turned over. And look at Port Vale's run in - Piss easy or what - they could win all 4.

I'm convinced this will not be resolved prior to Wrexham.

I no longer have a clue, this is one fecked up division where predicting anything is a lottery as all the teams are as shit/good as each other.

As Hannibal says Port Vale appear to have the easiest run in with no teams in the playoff frame left to play, I expect them to take one of the play off places even though they are 4 points behind us. I also share Hannibal's concerns about tomorrow, win that and I think we'll nearly be there.

i think our aim is to get in the top 2 of the play off spots. We need to get above swindon, hence for the easier play off draw!

I don't know about 5 points being enough, there's enough teams behind us, who could put a run together. 2 wins definitely needed, preferably a draw as well.

How crap would it behaving nothing to play for? This is the scary, but fun part of the season

I reckon we need at least two wins so 6 points.

Difficult to see us getting more than six points (home wins against Peterborough and Notts County), so I think we will have to hope that is enough......
